A Writer's Review of “Sixty Acres and a Bride" by Regina Jennings

I've looked forward to reading Sixty Acres and a Bride ever since I first heard of it's raving reviews from my author/reader friends on Facebook and Goodreads. The cover is gorgeous, the author is new and it's overall story is similar to the book of Ruth in the Bible, which has always been a favorite of mine.

I read this book in a day. All three-hundred and sixty-six pages. As soon as it came in the mail. What I found out in that one day of reading was that Regina Jennings can write very well. Sixty Acres and a Bride kept my interest all the way though and I liked it a lot. The story was much more than I expected and I loved the two main characters.

In my opinion, this was an excellent debut novel by a very talented up-and-coming author. I look forward to seeing what she writes in the future.

Bethany House Publishers supplied me with a paperback version in return for my honest opinion of the book. I give Sixty Acres and a Bride 4 stars.

Leave a comment here and have a chance to win either this book or any other book on my Book Giveaway List (at the top of my blog).

I would love a chance to win/read either A Lasting Impression or Wind Dancer. I haven't read either one of those yet. :)

Such fun!

I just finished reading this book. I loved it too. I also love the Ruth and Boaz story. The cover is what drew me to this story.

This book was wonderfully crafted. The characters are complex and vivid, demanding your attention until the last page is turned. I read this in two days, and enjoyed every bit of it. Enjoy!
